Thanks so much for “past or present”. It validated in the Spirit what a friend and I were discussing today. Our children are caught up in homosexuality-different provinces and took the leap into the abyss about the same time-both kids are Christian and very angry. I don’t mean they are together. They don’t even know one another.
Mine was in seminary. She was on the other end of sexual assault. The whole thing seems absolutely surreal. We have been praying, fasting,pleading while saying we are trusting. We know God loves us and our children. It seemed to me as I was having a quiet moment, that alot of energy was being given to “the spirit of lies”. It occurred to me that if we persist with the pleading we are not spending time joyfully or with patience and are serving” the lie” more than trusting the Lord. I started to wonder what I was doing and shared this with my friend. I started to think about scriptures"Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee” and “Come to me all you who labour and are heavily laden and I will give you rest” and “Seek you first the Kingdom of God and all things will be added unto you”. I think it is my job to trust God. I love her so much, but He loves her more. I can’t change anything, but I can be open to the leading of our gracious Lord and learn what I’m supposed to learn so I can better serve Him. In that I get wisdom in all situations. I believe that my daughter will be called out of this lifestyle and what a testimony she will have.! God has been so merciful and has lead us to Janet Boynes ministry, which is based on the love of our God. I will stay in the Word and I truly enjoy Peter. While I was surfing through the website I found you. Coincidence? I think not.
